if you had though about it you could have come to a conclusion of this “they put the latest backup they had of the site (meaning that was when ep 9 was released)” seeing as the site was offline for about a day and then when it comes back online it all of a sudden is at a past post.

also the failure in your theory of them stopping the subs is that if they were stopping they wouldn’t take the episodes off the site unless they had a C&D in which case they would have to just delete every episode link.
(basically that theory fails, think before you post.)

what was the patch for, i did not see anything wrong with it
