We were a bit slow this week, as our translator had limited internet access. The episode is out now, though. While you download it, check out some of the new Summer 2009 Anime Season shows or see some screenshots and a brief (relatively non-spoiling) summary of Basquash! Episode 15.
Get Basquash! 15 now:
Thanks for not compromising on quality. It’s always funny to watch the people bitch about filesize.
Anyways, can’t wait for the episode!
I can wait for the best possible quality! keep it up!
I support you… keep the good work. Size doesn´t matter if it´s about view quality.
Thank you for once again telling people about the file size because everyone hardly ever listens. Anyways, thanks for all the episodes so far and take your time with this one
Better quality ftw
People get their Fansubs for Basquash from Umai specifically for the quality and attention to detail. I’ll gladly wait another 4 or 5 days for the release for the image quality, as well as the quality of the subs.
Frankly I can’t stand spelling and grammatical errors (or at least GLARING errors), Umai has had none of these in 14 releases, this alone is worth waiting for an admittedly anal-retentive grammar-nazi.
500MB is FABULOUS!!!
This is the first series I’ve actually got from umai. I’m in the middle of converting the mkv files to avi for re-encoded mp4s for personal use. i gotta say, its like working with crystal perfect raws.framerate consistency is tops. its really amazing. I’ve done some other series in the past(geass, macross F) and there was always at least6 eps with the worst compressed audio/vid sync in cross conversions. really great quality stuff.mega props, umai. hopefully, the sub txts won’t be an issue…UMAI ftw!
I got my vote :]
Kickass.
UMAI ftw.
Back in the day, I would be annoyed that you didn’t release in lower quality. Nowadays, I’m very pleased that you release in high-quality. Keep up the good work.
Frankly I’m shocked anyone releases anything in resolutions lower than 720(progressive/interlaced). The world has moved into hi-definition picture; releasing low quality subs is as inexcusable as a black and white television show in 1984.
XD 500mb to me isn’t considered a really big size. I can download it in around 5minutes. Also I have no problem playing the file at all. But the only problem is went ever I watch a fansub with moving karaoke that is not hardsubbed it don’t flash correctly. BTW this is probably the hardest anime to ever convert. I tried convertin it to RM file but the quality was disgusting even with my video cards turned on, on realplayer. XD if u try converting it to HD AVI…. freakin large….. Tuff luck, people with slow computers lol.
BASQUASH!!!!!!!!!
slow?
Tick Tock Gun Shot…. slow XD?
“XD 500mb to me isn’t considered a really big size. I can download it in around 5minutes.”
Speaking on behalf of everybody in Australia, i fucking hate you.
But yeah, good quality vid always nice.
Basquash! and umai……TOTALLY ROCKSSSSS!!!!
Quality over size…..
keep up the good works guys
@Hooligantuesday
XD, lol move to America or something. Or Asia, they have the best internet. Especially Japan.
People in NA have good internet speed but the caps sucks ass T_T
I really dont give a damn about the size of the file… The quality u guys give us every week is top notch compare to other groups. The quality is just awesome. I’m a quality over quantity guy. Thanks for the good work team Umai.
They had to go and ruin it with a new opening/ending… the old ones were like the anime trademark.. sucks
Big filesizes are awesome \o/
luzl i usually download basquash in 3 or 2 minutes
which raws do ya’ll use for your subs?
@yeah, we use our own .ts raw captures.
You could have 1GB files and i wouldnt care…
And ill wait for your release…
I’m trying to re-encode the series to play it on my PS3. I’m planning on doing a 2 pass encode and include the ass subs in the mkv. The thing is I succeeded, but its not retaining the style originally displayed in the mkv.
New to encoding (just coz of my PS3, trying to run the vid on TV). I’m using a combo of mkvtoolnix(to seperate the mkv content, specially the subs), ffmpegx and/or avidemux for the encoding.
How can I retain the sub styling as in the mkv?
Now @ hooligantuesday speak for yourself, you got crappy internet. I can download the files within minutes too, so go whine @ your ISP.
@ Z£o …Australia is one of the few countries in the world with good internet speed.
@ Kintama remerber something like fonts?
About those who bitch.
Umai is fabulous ’cause of the high quality they deliver. If you want smaller filesize and faster releases , then I’m sorry ,you’re out of luck , you just described every crappy fansub group out there. My suggestion … go and bitch there
thx~

Thx for the download, time to watch it now
sweet… thanks for the episode
Thanks a lot! ~
Thanks! I look forward to watching it later.
Many thx :]
For everyone who complains about the filesize, if you know what encoding is then you should know that Basquash is a bitrate fag, so please don’t complain if you don’t know about it as the staff at Umai said if you don’t like the filesize then reencode it at home, I am sure you could find some easy to use software for encoding at home, Basquash is a bitrate fag and that’s it, quality must be kept fr the .ts sources, I know you all see some raws of Basquash with a pretty standard filesize, but if you compare both you’ll see the difference in quality. If you know nothing about encoding then please don’t complain, just do whatever you want with the file at home, that is if you don’t like quality.
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for another episode
