As for people who seem to be having trouble playing our episodes, we don’t really know what to tell you. All members of our team have tested our releases using the latest version of CCCP and had no problems. Like many groups, we aim to allow CCCP to play the files, but won’t go out of our way to accommodate other players (i.e. VLC). Thousands of people download our releases, and very few seem to have problems, leading us to believe this is an isolated incident caused by an odd configuration. Sorry.

Oh, and the episode might be slow. Summer anime season is starting. So basically we’re all like “omg animez” and basically we just watch anime all the time every day for our whole lives and we are pretty cool as a result. Yeah. Just kidding, there are no (well, almost no?) good shows this summer so lol w/e

I promised that there would be a status post this week, but I am lazy so no. Basically, if it is the weekend, we are working on the episode. If I have time I will post status updates, but we’re pretty consistent with our release times, so don’t freak out if there’s no status post.

This week’s episode features what must be a common thing in junior high changerooms – the one girl with huge boobs when the rest have tiny mosquito bite ones. Peer pressure, crying, and passing notes to ask people out ensue.

This week’s episode shows Dan in great agony as he must stop himself from fapping. This is due to the high concentration of boobs in Basquash! – hence the picture above, showing his need to have one arm forcibly subdue the other before it can… well, subdue his desires.

Sorry for no status updates this week – I ended up installing Windows 7 RC1 and thus was busy with that instead of making a post. Next week should have a status post again.

Okay so this week Basquash! has a new episode and it is probably the newest episode at this point in time due to no newer episodes having aired. That said, if you are reading this a week or more after I’m writing it (fricking time travelling poofaces), this will no longer be the newest episode. There will be a newer episode because Basquash! has a new episode every week or so.

The ‘fanservice’ is so overblown there’s no way it’s not meant to be parody of fanservice in serious shows, yet people still seem to take it as serious fanservice, rather than poking fun at common tropes. Go to most boards and mention Basquash, and you’ll more likely get comments about ‘its all tits’ and nothing about the awesome action sequences, simply because people have been going crazy over the ‘fanservice’, rather than the actual main points of the show.

Before people complain the the OP/ED lyrics are wrong: they prolly are, but we don’t care. If you really are upset about this, there will be official lyrics eventually, at which point we will start using them. What we put down is almost definitely wrong.

As for some issues mentioned in the comments on the first episode’s post:

1. I’ve seen a few people leaving comments about ordered chapters, and on IRC I’ve had a few people ask about it. We really did consider it, but the opening and ending themes don’t have a ton of fast motion, meaning that ordered chapters would not amount to much space being saved, and we (or at least our encoder) didn’t think it was worth the effort (ordered chapters is a fair bit more work for the encoder).
2. No, we will not be releasing a standard definition version. With efficient h264 decoders such as CoreAVC, and hardware decoding available on most graphics cards produced in the past few years, we believe that our HD version should be playable on the majority of computers out there.
3. Yes, the 500MB filesize is necessary. There are other groups subbing this show if you are not interested in the high quality CG and animation in this show.
